| Bible in a Year: Gen. 1-3 |
Happy New Year. God’s mercies have kept us. His uncommon grace is announcing us. May this year bring to you and your family joy and happiness. May the pains and hardships of the past be buried with the passing year. May the fire of God’s presence preserve you and yours. May He establish you in honour this year. May He make your name great for His name’s sake as he did Abraham. May He kickstart everything satan has stopped in your journey of destiny. Jesus can do that because He is Alpha. Alpha is the first letter in the Greek alphabet. It means the beginning.
Jesus is the beginning of all things. Nothing exists that did not come into existence through Him. It is in Him we live and move and have our being. ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End’. No mortal man can make such a claim; only God incarnate can. To say Jesus is only a great Prophet or a great teacher borders on blasphemy. He is either the Son of God or nothing else. All things were made by Him whether visible or invisible. All things are sustained by the word of His power. He is Alpha; the Beginning – He can take the sad and sorry story of your past and give you a new beginning. He can bring promotion out of the pains of your past. No man can conclude your story when He hasn’t. He is the God of another chance, another way, another plan, another strategy… the options available to Him in meeting your needs are infinite and inexhaustible.
Prayer: Give God praise for a New Year. Give Thanks for His faithfulness throughout 2022. Thank Him for opening new doors and giving you fresh opportunities
