CHRISTIAN TEACHING CENTER FAMILY CHURCH (C.T.C FC) RURAL MISSION DEVELOPMENT IN NORTHERN NIGERIA.

1.0. INTRODUCTION

The Rural mission program under The Global Revival Gospel Ministries Inc. a.k.a Christian Teaching Centre Family Church, started in April 2010. The president and General Overseer of this great commission instructed all the Resident pastors in Zaria metropolis to make their Easter programs in the year 2010 an outreach for the purpose of soul winning and possibly church planting. In obedience to this instruction, C.T.C. FC Hausa who’s Resident pastor at the time was Pastor Hannatu Samuel Ndibechukwu (presently Area pastor) together with some members, traveled to Kano state northwest Nigeria to a village called Dagame in Sumaila L.G.A on Friday 2nd April 2010. Wevshowed the story of Jesus Film translated in Hausa and as a result of that outreach, souls were saved and a church started along side teaching the children of the village on the foundation of secular education i.e A.B.C…. since there was no single school in that village. We provided reading and writing materials to the children free of charge. Due to the absence of a full-time missionary at the times, the Hausa church started sending people in twos weekly to hold Sunday service shouldering all the financial responsibility for many months. The C.T.C FC Hausa church was a young church at the time that just started as a section at C.T.C FC headquarters in June 2005. It was called the Hausa section and we usually sat at a corner of the church on Sunday to interpret the messages to Brethren that did not understand English. The following year 2006 in the month of June, we celebrated our one year anniversary as a section and by the last week of October of the same Year, the Hausa church was inaugurated as a full church by the President and founder Dr John E Akpami alongside an invited guest minister in the person of Rev John Markus the Resident pastor of Living Faith church Hausa in Kaduna at the time. It happened in one of the classrooms of CTC Academy which continued to be our venue. Since the church was young and we were few in number, we ran out of finances to continue sponsoring the weekly trip to Kano state. As a result of that, we had to approach our G.O Dr J E Akpami and his wife Pastor Clara Akpami and this led to the headquarters church releasing money for the new mission activities.
