| THE POWER OF OPPORTUNITIES I |
| Bible in a Year: Gen. 21:22-24:27 |
Solomon said in verse 11 (NLT), “I have observed something else in this world of ours. The fastest
runner doesn’t always the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise are
often poor, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always
lead successful lives.
It is all decided by chance, by being at the right place at the right time.”
Being at the right place at the right time is the reason many people win in life. It is the ability to
recognize opportunities and make the best use of them.
Note the following about opportunities:
1. Whenever you ask God for “breakthroughs”, He presents you with opportunities. What you do
with the opportunities will determine the outcome of your life.
2. Opportunities often come disguised. It takes those who are sensitive to recognize them. You
will need to ask the Holy Spirit to help you interpret the events of life accurately; else great
opportunities will pass right in front of your eyes unrecognized.
Remember, unless you see life through the eyes of God, you will not see correctly.
Prayer: I declare that I shall always be at the right places when I should; I shall not miss my
opportunities in Jesus’ Name.
